Wiki: 6 months, 2 weeks agoI’ve organised a half day ChrisMash event for 3rd December in London. Booking is now open. Unfortunately it’s not going to be as big as most of the other events – can only hold about 30 people in the pub.

Gary Green started the forum topic Adding Mashup-o-Maniac to the wiki in the group
Wiki: 1 year, 10 months agoI thought it would be useful to add http://mashup.omani.ac/ to the wiki, but I wasn’t sure where to put it. It’s covers useful api’s and mashups that have been created. Any thoughts? Or maybe, I should pull out the api’s it mentions and just add them??? PS I know I could have added this question [...]

Hee hee! I know what you mean, I was just going with what I perceived to be the prevailing etiquette
Oh, go on then, if you insist
Yeah – I’m not entirely sure about the friend thing – I mean, we’re all friends here right, so do we need to have it? I’m not going to turn down a friendship request on here even for people I don’t know – that would just seem anti-social!
”Friends” – nah, not really!
But it can be quite useful for e.g. http://www.mashedlibrary.com/members/ostephens/activity/friends/ – we use Buddypress at the University of Lincoln, and it’s nice to have a filtered list of people you’re really interested in following. Needs to be more granular, though, and less facebook-y!
